Full time, ongoing position for a registered psychologistTo assist students from Early Learning to VCEWith immediate commencement available. CREST Education comprises two independent, coeducational schools with over 2,100 students, an Equestrian Centre and an Environmental Reserve at Clyde North. Hillcrest Christian College, established in 1981, operates from Early Learning to VCE levels. Rivercrest Christian College is an authorised International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) World School and is a Diploma Programme (DP) candidate school, with modern facilities at Clyde North. It is a growing College, adding a new year level each year; our first Year 10 classes commenced in 2023.CREST Education invites applications from a suitably qualified and experienced School Psychologist to enhance and work in support of the existing Student Wellbeing and Chaplaincy programs. This is a crucial role, assisting students from both Hillcrest and Rivercrest, across all year levels, together with the counsellors and chaplains. The successful candidate will: Undertake educational and psychological assessment and diagnosis in all areas of child and adolescent developmentProvide psychological counselling, therapy and programs for individuals and groups for a range of mental health, emotional and family issuesPlan evidence-based interventions in collaboration with other staff, relevant professional and parentsParticipate as a member of the CREST staff and provide psychological input to the development, implementation and evaluation of school learning programs, goals and outcomesProvide professional learning and information to build capacity of the Colleges and families to improve students’ learning and developmental outcomesRespond to and assist Colleges and the organisation in their response to critical incidents and emergenciesEstablishing and reviewing policy, procedure and practices of operation, such as referral, case management and reporting processesCollect, collate and maintain student information and records to meet legislative and system requirements to inform research and policy developmentMaintain professional competence and continued professional learningOther duties as directed by the Executive Principal Your strengths include: Experience as an AHPRA-registered psychologist in an educational institution (although consideration will be given to provisionally registered psychologists)Effective communication to create strong professional relationships with other staff in order to provide the best possible service for students and parentsWillingness to be an enthusiastic contributor to the CREST community including by participating in a range of activities at the Colleges. Benefits Competitive salaryFree gym on siteFriendly and supportive working environment. The role is ongoing, full time (38 hours per week) with 8 weeks of annual leave, taken during school holidays. Specific details of the role are included in the Position Description. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to the Christian ethos of CREST Education. CREST Education is a child safe employer and is committed to the welfare of children and their protection.
