Part time roleOne year contractStarting in January 2023 CREST Education comprises two independent, coeducational schools with over 2,100 students, an Equestrian Centre and an Environmental Reserve at Clyde North. Hillcrest Christian College, established in 1981, operates from Early Learning to VCE levels. Rivercrest Christian College is an authorised International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) World School and is a Diploma Programme (DP) candidate school, with modern facilities at Clyde North. It is a growing College, adding a new year level each year; our first Year 10 classes commence in 2023. CREST Education is also a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Equine Studies courses are conducted for students from Year 5 to VCE at the Ayr Hill Equestrian Centre within the school grounds. We have an exciting opportunity for an Equine Studies VET Teacher/Trainer and Assessor to join our team. The successful applicant will have:current teaching or training qualifications (minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and eligible for VIT Permission to Teach or VIT Teacher registration)successfully completed a 22513VIC – Certificate III in Equine Studies; or has the ability to demonstrate equivalency in the units of competency deliveredcontinued/recent work experience in both industry and competency-based training and assessment in Australiaevidence of professional development undertaken in the last 12 months in relation to the Equine industry and Vocational Education and Trainingexperience working with young people in a training environmentcommitment to quality education, both classroom-based and flexible on-line deliveryhighly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation, consultation and the ability to resolve conflicthighly developed organisational and time management skillsefficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, intranet packages and hosting Zoom sessionsrelevant riding instructor qualification (EA Intro Coach or willingness to obtain) highly desirable This role is suited to a candidate who is:available to commence for the start of Term 1, 2023available to deliver weekly face-to-face sessions (Wednesday) during school termsavailable to provide online sessions for flexible online cohort and the ability to deliver two-day practical sessions during term breaksavailable for other work within the Centre such as emergency casual coaching, assisting with compliance and administration tasks  Applicants must be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to the Christian ethos of Crest Education.  CREST Education is a child safe employer and is committed to the welfare of children and their protection.
