Hillcrest Christian College, established in 1981, operates from Early Learning to VCE levels. Rivercrest Christian College is an authorised International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) World School and is a Diploma Programme (DP) candidate school, with modern facilities at Clyde North. It is a growing College, adding a new year level each year; our first Year 10 classes commence in 2023. CREST Education is also a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Equine Studies courses are conducted for students from Year 5 to VCE at the Ayr Hill Equestrian Centre within the school grounds. We have an exciting opportunity for an Equine Studies Teacher/Trainer and Assessor to join our team. The successful applicant will have:current teaching or training qualifications (minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and eligible for VIT Permission to Teach or VIT Teacher registration)Relevant riding instructor qualification (minimum EA Intro Coach or equivalent) and demonstrated adaptability to be an all-rounder in performing equestrian tasksCompetence in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and a demonstrated ability to learn to use other software applicationsDemonstrated ability at developing curriculum and lesson plans suitable to the skill level of the cohortEvidence of applying industry knowledge to solve problemsDemonstrated ability to cope in stressful, demanding, fast-changing situations with competing demandsHighly organized and energetic work ethicDemonstrated experience in liaising with students, parents and competition organisersTrack record of applying safe work practicesCommitment to quality education This role is suited to a candidate who is:available to commence for the start of Term 1, 2023available for emergency casual coaching (subject to relevant riding instructor qualification)  Applicants must be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to the Christian ethos of Crest Education.  CREST Education is a child safe employer and is committed to the welfare of children and their protection.
