Each year a new trainee becomes an integral part of the team.Hillcrest Christian College is an Independent, Co-educational school, with over 1,400 students spanning ELC to VCE, located at Clyde North.The College has an exciting opportunity commencing in January 2017 - an Outdoor Recreation Traineeship.The position would be best suited a young person who has recently finished secondary studies or is completing VCE in 2017. Due to the funding arrangements, people with tertiary qualifications need not apply for the traineeship.The successful candidate will be physically fit and enjoy practical learning.  A current drivers’ licence will be an advantage. The one-year traineeship will be particularly valuable for people considering career pathways in the education, outdoor recreation or sport industries.The Outdoor Recreation Trainee will be enthusiastic about camping and complete a Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation and training in first aid, bushwalking and kayaking.Experience in Christian youth ministry would be an advantage.A National Training Wage and superannuation is paid and course costs will be covered upon successful completion of the training. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to the Christian ethos of Hillcrest. Hillcrest Christian College is a child safe employer and is committed to the welfare of children and their protection.
