It is a growing College, adding a new year level each year; our first Year 11 classes commence in 2024. Hillcrest Christian College invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Food Technology Assistant, commencing in Term 2, 2024.The duties of the Assistant include ordering and shopping for supplies, preparing practical classes and demonstrations, setting up before classes, cleaning and storing equipment after classes, safe food handling and storage, and ensuring that all equipment is in a good state of repair.The successful candidate is:Experienced in kitchen duties, preferably in an educational environmentWilling to work as part of a team (including another assistant working the other days of the week) and assist teachers and studentsAvailable to work 1 day per week (Wednesdays) during school termsKnowledgeable about Occupational Health & Safety requirementsRelevant qualifications including a Food Handlers Certificate e.g. ANTA (Australian National Training Authority) endorsed individual competency SITXFSA101 - Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety.The standard working day is from 8:10am to 4:15pm.Twelve weeks of annual leave, taken during school holidays, applies to this role.
