It is a growing College, adding a new year level each year; our first Year 9 level will commence in 2022. Hillcrest Christian College has an exciting new opportunity commencing in January 2022 – for an Outdoor Leadership Trainee. Due to the funding arrangements, people with tertiary qualifications need not apply for the traineeship. The one-year traineeship will be particularly valuable for people considering career pathways in the education, outdoor recreation or sport industries.The successful candidate will be:physically fit and enjoy practical learningenthusiastic about camping and completing a Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership and training in first aid, bushwalking and kayakingexperienced in Christian youth ministry (would be an advantage)holding a current drivers’ licence (would be an advantage) BenefitsTraining wage and 12 weeks of holidays per yearFree gym on sitePotential career development A National Training Wage and superannuation are paid and course costs will be covered upon successful completion of the training.The proposed course is a Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership through Outer Eastern Training Institute.
