Hillcrest Christian College, established in 1981, operates from Early Learning to VCE levels. Rivercrest Christian College, which opened in 2014, has students from Early Learning to Year 7 in 2020. It is an authorised IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) World School and a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP). Rivercrest’s current enrolment is 450 students.Rivercrest Christian College seeks a casual Tutor of Piano to begin at the start of 2020. The role is predominantly individual music tuition, although there may be additional accompaniment and event work.There are currently 20 students learning piano at the College, however, as the College is expanding each year (through to Year 12 in 2025) we anticipate interest from more students to learn piano.We are seeking an enthusiastic, competent teacher who will be able to motivate and inspire students in individual lessons and confidently manage groups of students and work as a member of a team when required. The ability to teach is key and a classroom music teaching qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential.Private instrumental lessons are generally of 30 minutes and there are eight lessons per term, across a four-term year.The College collects fees from parents and the instrumental music tutors are paid by the College at rates based on the Victorian Music Teachers Association recommendation.Applicants must be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to the Christian ethos of Rivercrest.Rivercrest Christian College is a child safe employer and is committed to the welfare of children and their protection.
