Part time role for an energetic and competent CoachEnjoy working in an industry that interests youCommencing in January 2020 Crest Education comprises two Independent, Coeducational schools with over 1800 students, an Equestrian Centre and Environmental Centre at Clyde North. Hillcrest Christian College, established in 1981, operates from Early Learning to VCE levels. Rivercrest Christian College, which opened in 2014, has Early Learning to Year 7 students in 2020. The Ayr Hill Equestrian Centre caters for students from Year 5 upwards at Hillcrest and Rivercrest. We invite applications from a suitably experienced Equestrian Coach to teach in the Equestrian team, reporting to the Equestrian Centre Manager. The successful candidate will have: the capability to teach students who are participating in a range of programs – elective school subjects from Years 5 to 12, after-school and holiday lessons, as well as extra-curricular competitions and eventsthe ability to plan, document and deliver curriculum in a highly engaging way, using best practice pedagogy to support a diverse range of learnersthe ability to integrate digital technologies into the classroomthe outlook of a team player and ability to communicate effectively and create strong professional relationships with the academic, administrative, Equestrian and property services staffan approach which is flexible, being prepared to work outside standard business hours when necessaryEquestrian Australia Intro Coach qualification, Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration or eligibility to apply for VIT Registration or Permission to Teach. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be advantageous. For further details please refer to the position description. Previous experience in a similar role in an educational environment will be valued. Upon commencement, the hours of work will be approximately 16 hours per week, over 3 days during term weeks plus additional hours during the school holiday program.The salary for this position will be based on qualifications and experience.
